Poe Dameron comic #21: Legend Found, Part II by Charles Soule

"Poe Dameron #21: Legend Found, Part II" written by Charles Soule, illustrated by Angel Unzueta, Arif Prianto, and VC's Joe Caramagna
A delightful read with a twist ending, we see the hatchings of Leia's plan for breaking Lor San Tekka out of Cato Neimodian prison. The cover really has nothing to do with the story except for a quick side trip of Poe and Snap doing a test run...and without BB-8 at that. The covers of most of these Star Wars comic book issues really throw me for a loop in how little sense they make...
Baron Paw Maccon is the Nemoidian holding Tekka prisoner and he's doing so in a lavishly ordained cell with gold décor and lush pillows. Tekka still begs to be let free, saying he has done nothing wrong despite breaking and entering. Uhh?? Poor man is too wrapped up in his religious fervor for his own good--see below. Maccon rebuts that he cannot let free someone who managed to infiltrate one of his vaults...it would be bad for business. Definitely understand that point of view.
Then Leia arrives in a super gaudy gown with sparkly gold detailing...it has yikes factor unfortunately. She has arrived to have some of her mother's gowns put into storage!! And by mother I mean Padme! I knew it the minute I spotted the gorgeous soft pink and white gown with the gold choker, I think from Attack of the Clones. My heart went out to her having a connection with the mother she shares so much personality with.
BB-8 convinces his girlfriend IV to fly with Jess as her astromech. The pilot tried to rewire her ship to fly without a droid, but the job wasn't going as planned. Maybe Jess's luck will turn after all.
Tekka proclaims that the device he was examining, the Kazerath, might hold knowledge about an era in history when the light and dark sides of the Force were united. He wishes the battle between the two to end. What a fascinating prospect! I'd love to know more about whatever information this Kazerath might hold. But alas, I may never find out.
Leia apparently has an elaborate plan up her sleeve that I didn't see coming at all! What a cool turn of events. I'm excited to see where this goes next as the Princess calls Black Squadron in with a "mission is go." How will they save Lor San Tekka? Will Padme's dresses remain unscathed? Why does Poe still have to go to Jakku at the beginning of Force Awakens to find Tekka? What untold craziness must happen for things to turn out the way they do? I can't wait to find out...
