The Clone Wars: Season 7: Episode 8: "Together Again"

The Clone Wars: Season 7: Episode 8: "Together Again" written by Dave Filoni and Charles Murray, directed by Nathaniel Villanueva
Not all that much seemed to happen in this episode plot-wise, but there was certainly a great deal of character development which goes along nicely with the episode's moral: "You can change who you are, but you cannot run from yourself." Regardless of the circumstances, you always end up having to face the person in the mirror. Ahsoka does that in this episode as do both Trace and Rafa. There was also an abundance of familiar species which was a blast to see!! It really ties the saga/galaxy together when content uses species we all know and love. So this episode was definitely a win for me!
On to the plot, Ahsoka tells Rafa and Trace she has a plan, but they have to "trust her." Turns out her plan is to pretend to turn on the two sisters, simultaneously allowing their escape...but Rafa, not one to be outdone, decides her and Trace need to rescue Ahsoka in turn...which leads to all sorts of hijinks noted below.
The whole side plot with how Rafa goes about handling the lead up to this rescue is fabulously funny! It even includes several workers of the same species as Ben Quadinaros the Toong podracer from The Phantom Menace (from the Tund system)!! I LOVE these guys...they're so dopey looking it's wonderful (see above and below--they also apparently work in the spice factories! I don't know what they're doing in such great numbers on Oba Diah...). Unfortunately, the main Toong is voiced by Josh Brener...Neeku from "Resistance" and you could definitely hear Neeku in the character's voice. It honestly took me out of the story quite a bit, but the voice acting was still funny with its high squeakiness. And then there was the manager who just so happened to be a Trandoshan (see below)!!! The interplay between the Toongs and Rafa and then the resultant fight was just plain good humor.

The Ahsoka plot involved a lot of sneaking around and the revelation that Maul (see below) is still pulling the Pykes' strings...the former Sith even mentions Crimson Dawn!!! So it looks like that syndicate was either a group that joined the Shadow Collective (Maul's collection of criminal organizations) or a group that formed out of the Shadow Collective...very interesting...of course I need to know more!!
I don't want to give away anymore but I will say that the ending with Ahsoka, Rafa, and Trace was so incredibly sweet that I absolutely awwwwed out loud. And the ending is where the character development came out in full force. I wanna talk about it so bad, but you'll know what I mean if you just watch the episode. I'm not totally sure why the episode was called "Together Again" but it may have to do with the Mandalorians...maybe Maul...maybe...heck, I don't really know. But it was a highly enjoyable episode and I cannot wait to see where it goes from here!!
