What a tear-jerker issue! Really there's only one incident that comes up a couple of times that had me "d'aww"ing but it was definitely a good drawn out "d'aww". Such a great issue and we have our answers at last! I really hope this series has more than one issue left to go. I'm loving it so much!
The Great Forveen Nebula in the Mid Rim is where Lor San Tekka finds himself floating in the middle of space courtesy of ex-Agent Terex. Who will get to him first??
Jess's droid Ivee makes the ultimate sacrifice and saves Jess's life while telling Jess that what is about to happen isn't her fault. And this is after Jess had such a difficult time finding a droid who would fly with her. Looks like she found a keeper...ironic and so terribly sad. I have tears in my eyes. And later Jess finds a processor chip that was Ivee's in her X-wing's astromech socket. She gives the chip to Ivee's boyfriend BB-8. This whole interaction is so heartfelt I couldn't contain my "awww"s.
Ohhh!!! So, the Resistance does intercept Tekka only to find that he as of yet does not know where Luke is. He requests a shuttle and resources to seek out his suspicions and he will then contact the Resistance with information of Luke's whereabouts. That makes all of this make sense now. I wonder if the next story arc will be focused on Tekka's hunt...
Then Kare and Snap get married!!!! This event, covered in Escape from Vodran, only briefly gets air time, as Poe is off to the side, watching events from afar. But still, such a happy occasion!
Now I'm unsure of where this series is going next. The synopsis for the next issue says it will be telling us about Poe Dameron's adventures during The Force Awakens. Interesting...regardless I'm super happy there's at least one more issue in this awesome series!
