Wow! So a lot was certainly revealed in this quick read of a comic. We discover that things weren't AT ALL what they seemed and that Nakano Lash might just be the good guy... I quite liked the twisty turny reveal!! It was most certainly surprising in my book!

We start off with T'onga holding Valance at gunpoint and man is she ruthless!! She even forces the cyborg to don a restraining bolt...not only does that seem insulting (ignoring his humanity), but it also shows just how little she trusts him. I don't know how all of these bounty hunters EVER worked together on ANYTHING...

Then we make it to Ruusan where Ooris (the Thisspiasian bounty hunter--see below) gets a nasty lashing from Nakano and the girl who calls her aunt...needless to say, he doesn't last long. Thisspiasians are such a weird breed--they look like dogs up top (at least this one does) but snakes with arms on the bottom. Ooris had me all sorts of confused until I did a Wookieepedia double check. Mostly because Jedi Master Oppo Rancisis doesn't look quite as dog-like up top...I think it's the respirator that Ooris wears that threw me off.

Shortly thereafter, Valance and T'onga show up ready to "throw down"...or at least that's we were led to believe... Ooris is already a goner and the two set off to find out where Nakano has made her getaway to. In the process, they run across a Nexu (see below--LOVE that they include a prequel bestie!!!)!!! that nearly tears Valance to pieces...but then the beastie is called off of the kill...but why?!? It's a surprise I don't remember coming...

Finally, we learn a bit more about what went down all those years ago on Corellia...turns out Nakano was protecting a pregnant girl named Krynthia (see below), the heir of the Unbroken Clan. And T'ongor's death may also not have been her fault... I went back and looked at issue #1 and lo and behold it is EXACTLY as laid out in this issue #4...except for showing us what Khamus (the heir to the Mourner's Wail Syndicate) said, "can't be allowed to live." What a freaking surprise this turned out to be!!! So, doubled up on surprises and giving us twists and turns we did NOT see coming...definitely liking where this comic is going at this point. Perhaps there will be more surprises in store for future arcs!!!

Oh...wait!!!! There's a THIRD surprise!! And I'm not giving it away here...it was a goodie!

I only have one gripe...and I can't give it away because it gives away the ending of this issue...*sigh*...let's just say that some welcome diversity got squashed completely...unless they pull a fast one, but I don't see that happening. Ugh!

Overall, this was great, bringing everything together in a way that made absolutely perfect sense. I am so happy that this comic finally evened out!! And while I'm disappointed in the ending (talk about over-rated much), I'm still excited to see what happens from here.
