Another wonderful entry for the younger fans into the Lucasfilm publishing catalog for "The Mandalorian." Written and illustrated by the same people who wrote and illustrated Allies & Enemies, this book shared a lot of the same artwork and also only covered Season 1. Check out my review of that other book here. This book was much more narrative focused with story points being the main driver as opposed to character studies. And although some of the illustrations were exactly the same, there were some different ones that really stood out to me as being pretty darn epic (see below)!! Plus, this book contained two pages of stickers instead of just one which is exciting.

Unfortunately, the narrative left out Toro Calican, Peli Motto, and Ranzar Malk's crew--all three of which were included in Allies & Enemies. Instead, this book focused more on the Mudhorn ordeal and Moff Gideon's attack on Mando and crew at the end of Season 1. But to make up for the missing story points, there's even greater detail in this one than in Allies & Enemies--multiple planet names and full descriptions of the events in particular episodes. The sentences are a bit more complicated and there are more words overall, making this more of a story time book to be read to a young one, unless you have a great reader on your hands!! Despite, or maybe even because of, the differences, both of these books were spectacular run downs of Season 1 and I am delighted to have them in my collection!!

See the stickers and some fantabulous images below:

I'm looking forward to future Mando literature with much excitement!!
