This issue had a lot going on and I can't rightly say I understood everything that happened, but the gist of it--Dr. Aphra is pretty damn awesome--was clear.
Aphra somehow manages to get the flight school Lucrehulk to pull in the Hive-1 data core, ripping Hive-1 apart. Those that remain on the battered ship set to fire at the retreating school, but Aphra has reprogrammed the codenames for the firing guns to reflect the trigger for the Tooka cats' explosions! And explode they do...
Six, the four-armed alien, who is a part of Aphra's crew, decides to shore up with the Rebels and work with people who believe in something. Poor Aphra looks a bit downtrodden by the insinuation she believes in nothing.
Despite all Aphra's dastardly moves, Hera lets her off easy since the Rebels now have access to the Tarkin Initiative's R&D data core.
"My boot's gonna affiliate with your backside, you sanctimonious snitch," Dr. Aphra says in response to Tam Posla's ratting out Tolvan who was still hiding aboard the Lucrehulk. Love her snarkiness!
I won't tell you how Tolvan gets away...it's too cool of a surprise! But I do want to say she and Aphra finally get some time alone together and definitely make the most of it! <3
Back at the Son-Tuul Crime Syndicate, 000 lays it on thick, letting Aphra know just how like him she really is. Poor thing. I feel for her and her despicable ways. She doesn't really want to be a bad person. ...at least I don't think she does...
A crazy ending for a crazy issue! What has Tolvan done? And will Aphra get out alive? She always seems to, so I guess the real question is how will she get out alive...
