Star Wars comic #70: Rebels and Rogues, Part III: Honeymooners? by Greg Pak

I am genuinely enjoying this arc so far. I love how we've got three stories all going on simultaneously allowing the action and surprises to never really stop. Plus, we end up with 3 cliff-hangers to carry us on to the next issue! This was a really creative and smart format to use to give us a taste of all the different types of stories Greg Pak is capable of telling. We have a heart-warming tale of friendship bonding between 3PO and Chewie (making the whole situation of Chewie trying to put 3PO back together and carrying him around on his back in Cloud City all the more heartfelt). We have sexual tension and high stakes in the Han and Leia storyline, preparing us for what we know is to come in The Empire Strikes Back--the revelation of their love. And we have a mystical and perhaps dubious tale with Luke and Warba Calip as the farmboy seeks to know more about the Force. All three storylines are very different and that even more so enhances my enjoyment of the arc.
My favorite visual from this issue had to be Han in those genie pants!! Too freaking funny!! See the cover above for the fabulous imagery. Other than that nothing really stood out to me visually, but I was still super engaged in the story.
As for what's going on in each of the storyline's specifically:
1. 3PO and Chewie have turned the Millennium Falcon around and are headed back to K43 to attempt to deactivate the detonators...but...an Imperial Star Destroyer has appeared in orbit ferrying none other than...well, I won't tell you here but I bet you can guess. I kind of wish they had introduced a new Imperial baddie rather than taking the obvious route. Either way I'm still excited to see what happens next. No idea how Chewie and my favorite golden droid are going to get out of this one alive!
2. Leia and Han tour their honeymoon suite (hence the issue's name) and pretend to be a couple as they head down to "dinner."...well, Han at least makes the effort. Leia is WAY more interested in their mission. They make their way to a behind-the-scenes hallway by which they can access the comms room and run into some trouble! But the person who's been tailing them reveals himself and the mission is saved!! ...or is it??
3. Luke and Warba experience some speeder problems (it was stolen after all) and make a run for it to escape the clutches of the bar patrons who want Warba dead. The two then begin a discussion about the Force with Warba proclaiming its dangers, saying that all Jedi or fake Jedi end up dead. Luke won't take this for an answer and keeps pushing the girl until she decides to help him out...by doing something quite unexpected and seemingly completely unrelated...it's pretty funny if you ask me and quite reminiscent of Dr. Aphra. Although, this woman seems much more wholesome than our favorite archaeologist. At one point Warba asks Luke, "Just you and your laser sword against the whole Empire?" Something that obviously reminds me of Luke's reaction to Rey when she comes to Ahch-To. Funny how the tables get turned.
So a lot going on in all three story lines and it is holding me with rapt attention! I cannot wait to read issue #71 especially with a synopsis that promises: 3PO will have a shocking revelation, Han and Leia will make an unexpected ally, and Luke will actually get a lesson in the Force. 3PO's already had his mind blown during this mission so I can't imagine what else his poor "brain" will have to wrap around. I'm also super curious to see if we'll know the unexpected ally...I really hope so! And I really want to know more about Warba--who is she, how does she know the Force, will the lesson be connected to something else in some way? So many intriguing possibilities as this arc moves forward.
