Star Wars Adventures Annual 2019 by various
This Annual included two comics, the first one longer and the second one shorter although both were phenomenal for very different reasons. I am so taken aback and cannot believe that I had not read these sooner!!!

"Hare-Brained Heist" written by Cavan Scott, illustrated by Mauricet and Charlie Kirchoff
This was actually a super engaging and entertaining story!! It was a lot longer than I expected and was a full tale from set up to obstacle to climax to resolution. Definitely a worthy read!! Of course, it was written by Cavan Scott so I should have expected a knock it out of the park ride. It takes place after Return of the Jedi because, first off, Han says Lando is supposed to meet him on Chandrila, and secondly, Lando makes a point of correcting our surprise guest Jaxxon!! on them heading to the "Republic" not the "Rebellion."
We start off with Nien Nunb and Lando Calrissian piloting the Millennium Falcon with Han from afar none too happy about the situation--Lando was supposed to bring the ship back to him immediately after refueling, but seems to have other plans...especially when he receives a distress call from Rekkana!
When we get to Rekkana, I was floored with the first surprise appearance--Korda from the Adventures in Wild Space junior reader series (the Imperial who was constantly after Milo and Lina Graf, see him pictured above) appears as a Commodore now!!! He's the Imperial in charge of factories on Rekkana that are developing auto-TIE fighters...and a new type of all-terrain walker.              Lando notices that the Rekks (see image below) working for the Empire outnumber stormtroopers by a lot but still aren't fighting back. Curious and letting his good hearted nature take over, he sets out to find out why. On this newfound mission of his, he runs into Jaxxon (the giant green rabbit) of all people who says that he arrived on Rekkana to free the Chancellor but got caught. As Lando and Jaxxon work together to complete what Jaxxon alone could not, they discover that the Rekks are so forlorn because of the loss of a holy totem at Imperial hands. And the story begins in earnest as Jaxxon, Lando, and Chancellor Asera set out to find the totem and restore hope to the Rekks!
Trivia: New Planet - Metlok VI
Again, this was such an enjoyable comic that I wouldn't mind reading a few times more. I love seeing Lando at his mushiest and Jaxxon is always a fun addition.

"So Much More" written by Pierrick Colinet and Elsa Charretier, illustrated by Margaux Saltel
Okay, so this comic I could absolutely GUSH about for HOURS!!! It's Breha Organa telling toddler Leia all about Padme's adventures, courage, and strength in writing her own destiny...all while sitting at the foot of a statue of Padme as Queen. I am shook by how beautiful this was!! We get scenes from the movies and from "The Clone Wars." And it all ends on the note of Padme having that spark...the spark...of HOPE! Ahhhhh!!! I am overwhelmed by this gift that Pierrick Colinet and Elsa Charretier have given us. And the artwork by Margaux Saltel was stunning as well. I won't give away everything because I consider this a MUST read!, especially for any prequel fan. But I will include some fabulous images from this comic below.
First off, we have Leia and Breha looking on at Padme's statue:
Then we have Breha telling Padme's story with the words coming to life in images before the mother and daughter. The look on Leia's face as she watches Padme stand up for her people is so full of hardcore determination and bravery!
And finally we have an image of Padme with her shadow becoming the Rebel starbird!!! Again, ahhhh!!!! I am SO in love with this comic.
I LOVE that Breha has a statue of Padme in the first place!! And I love that she feels no jealousy or unrequited angst toward the other woman who is the biological mother of her adopted child. She just feels love, compassion, and kinship with a woman who is every bit the role model. MY HEART!!!
