Doctor Aphra comic #16: Remastered, Part III by Kieron Gillen and Si Spurrier

"Doctor Aphra #16: Remastered, Part III" written by Kieron Gillen and Si Spurrier, illustrations by Emilio Laiso and Rachelle Rosenberg
Hmmm...a lot of action occurs in this issue, but to what end? Not much happens. It seems like more of a place holder than an issue that really moves the story forward. And the scenes are all very confusing and obfuscated, making it very difficult to tell who exactly is talking and what exactly is happening. I found myself getting confused by all the different members of Aphra's team. But I couldn't help but truly enjoy the delightful moments between Tolvan and Aphra.
Once again the cover leaves something to be desired. There are never any sparks or malfunctioning electrical equipment involved in this meeting between Aphra and Tolvan...just a giant scary beast...
Inspector Tolvan has been searching for Aphra in all available data to her and finally comes across a scene of Aphra and her team post-attack. When she sees Aphra on screen for the first time in a while, the look on her face is so goo-goo-ga-ga it's priceless. <3
Then we zoom back in to Aphra and her team in real time and Aphra has apparently packed 60 shrink-frozen tooka cats all pre-designed to be bombs. Chaos ensues as a security-monster is awakened when Tolvan arrives.
The look on Aphra's face when she glimpses Tolvan in person again...d'aww! They are so smitten for each other it's adorable!
And then...they kiss!!...right before one of her team interrupts and all hell breaks loose. Somehow Tolvan escapes and Aphra is given her next mission.
Aphra and her team must go to HiveBase-1 to obtain 000's lost memories for him. What will this entail? Where is HiveBase-1? Will Aphra ever see Tolvan again? Will their star-crossed love play out or be doomed to fate? Only the next issue will tell...
