Galaxy of Adventures: Heroes and Villains (World of Reading Level 2) by Ella Patrick

Galaxy of Adventures: Heroes and Villains (World of Reading Level 2) written by Ella Patrick, illustrated by Titmouse
This book was adorable and hit all the major points if you were introducing the Original Trilogy to a young child. We are introduced to Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, R2-D2, C-3PO, Yoda, Vader, and Palpatine with just enough information to whet the appetite. If you have a little Padawan who has yet to be shown the Original Trilogy, I highly recommend getting this book to introduce them to the saga before watching the movies. It puts everything in its place and explains the major players in a super simple manner.
The artwork was incredible! I absolutely loved the style--check out Palpatine mid-tornado going after Saesee Tiin, Kit Fisto, Agen Kolar, and Mace Windu in his office below!! It is so good. And then there's a great image of a sea of Star Destroyers that was simply put beautiful. There's a couple of images that look as if they were taken straight from "Resistance" which was interesting--including the one below of an X-wing running from a TIE-fighter...huh, I guess it could have been taken from "Galaxy of Adventures"...I don't know though. Essentially, the artwork was a huge win and would entice and capture the heart of any child that reads this one!
And...there are 2 pages of stickers!!! Always a fun extra. They are also beautifully artistic and any kid would love to add them to their collection. My favorite is the one of Luke holding Anakin's lightsaber for the first time!! All that energy, emotion, and power. So awesome. See them pictured below.
There's not much else to say about this one except it really is a wonderful entry point for any young fan. I, of course, wish it had included more of the prequels (there were several images from that era including the one of Palpy above but not really any content) but I get that its goal is most likely to turn kids on to specifically the Original Trilogy as nothing from the sequels was even mentioned or shown. Hopefully they'll do a similar style book for each of the other trilogies because this is a fun, easy to understand, and magically illustrated entry into canon. But now that I think about it, calling it "Heroes and Villains" would seem to imply a broader range of said types of characters...weird...well, I'll hold out hope regardless!
