Heroes and Villains Poster-A-Page
Heroes and Villains Poster-A-Page is another one of my newly discovered canon poster books. This was the least exciting of all three I've read so far. The Rebels ones are next.
There were no trivia questions, numbered breakdowns, or descriptive paragraphs like in Creatures, Ships, and Droids, and no clear narrative like in The Skywalker Sage Episodes I-VI, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.
Each page was front and back a different poster with each poster either containing a name, a select quote from a movie, or a funny phrase/sentence. Some were fairly plain and some were pretty fantastic. There were also 7 posters the size of 4 pages put together that span the saga but lean more towards the original trilogy.
The layout was from Episode I-VI roughly in that order. Some of the pages were thrown into the midst of an incorrect movie chronologically. And even some of the quotes were on scenes from a different movie. This book could've done with just a tad bit more editing for continuity.
There were also two posters showing Anakin and Obi-Wan clashing lightsabers but with the word "Jedi" prominently proclaimed. Very weird seeing as this battle was actually between a Jedi and a Sith...
A few of my favorite posters:
-R2-D2 with the sentence "Rise above your software." So cute!
-Chancellor Palpatine and Anakin in the opera house with "Evil is patient." How true when it comes to Palpatine. That man was uber-patient to get what he wanted!
-X-wings flying towards the first Death Star with the sentence "Every obstacle has a thermal exhaust port." Haha!! Even Starkiller Base had a thermal oscillator.
See my favorite poster below!
Overall it was fun and provides a wealth of enjoyable posters for any fan.
