Poe Dameron comic #23: Legend Found, Part IV by Charles Soule

"Poe Dameron #23: Legend Found, Part IV" written by Charles Soule, illustrated by Angel Unzueta and Arif Prianto
This was a fairly straightforward issue that moved the story right along. The visuals were great and the action was engaging. The plot provided an exciting cliffhanger for where in the world this is going to go next!
Again I'm left confused by the cover art: 1) this issue does not take place in space, 2) why is BB-8 in holo?, 3) why is the ship targeting an X-wing when Malarus was targeting a different type of fighter all-together? *sigh* I just don't get why it has to be inconsistent with the story...
Commander Malarus stole Poe's ship in the last issue and now she moves in to attack Kare, Jess, and Snap as they fend off the droid fighters. She only makes it so far before Poe is able to talk (and pay) his way into one of Baron Maccon's prized collectable starfighters. Poe enters the fray and BB-8 acts against Malarus by locking down all the controls to Poe's fighter. BB-8 then makes his way to Poe's commandeered ship and together they bring down Malarus.
Meanwhile, Terex is aboard Leia's ship with Lor San Tekka in tow. He keeps zapping his implants to gain autonomy for moments at a time and calls up Phasma on the holo to make a deal...
Malarus is one CREEPY woman. I don't know what she keeps injecting into her eye to make it black but the whole process is disturbing and yet fascinating. See included image!
Everything flowed well and kept my attention throughout. This was an easy, quick read that I enjoyed very much. Since we all know that Lor San Tekka somehow makes it to Jakku, still not in the hands of the Resistance, I'm definitely curious to see how all this plays out.
