This was another issue that felt super short but still carried the story arc right along. Again not much happened, but the Rebels finally have a dog in the fight as Han gets his message to one of the cruisers.
We start with Vader on Han's tail, trying to stop the smuggler before he can get word to the fleet. Han promises he's not panicked by Darth Vader chasing them. But then C-3PO says, "Sir, I believe by your demeanor you are quite panicked." And Han responds, "Are you a med droid now?" Haha!!
Han jettisons 3PO out to a cruiser (happens to be the one Luke is on) and 3PO makes his way to an airlock where he is able to get in and relay the message! Luke defies orders and flies his X-wing at the bay door!! He says, "Well, I guess this is what Jyn Erso felt like..." Love it!!!
And I believe it is revealed how Rogue Squadron got its name!! Luke names the fleet of X-wings that escape the Mon Calamari cruiser just that...in honor of Jyn <3
I absolutely love that this series keeps going back and referencing Rogue One. Makes me crazy giddy! It also lends a sense of cohesiveness to everything that makes this canon-connection-happy girl delighted.
Now that Rogue Squadron is on the loose, what kind of damage can they do against the ridiculous number of Imperial ships amassed at their doorstep?? We'll just have to wait and find out...
