Star Wars comic #73: Rebels and Rogues, Part VI: A New Jedi in Town! by Greg Pak

"Star Wars #73: Rebels and Rogues, Part VI: A New Jedi in Town!" written by Greg Pak, illustrated by Phil Noto
I thought it was really neat how the stories began to converge in this issue with a promise that issue #74 will bring us a full coming together of all three story lines. Essentially, Han hatches a plan to send even more Imperials Chewie/C-3PO's way...since they are supposed to be blowing up a planet...and 3PO makes a call to Luke asking him about the moral quandary he's in over the presence of the rock beings. All three of our pairs appear to be in dire straits as this issue comes to a close!

-Leia and Han:
Turns out Boss Carpo is a really creepy Bith with sharp, metallic fingers. *shiver*--check out the image below. Not only is he incredibly spooky, but he's also quite intelligent and flips the script on Leia and Dar's plan to simultaneously distract the Empire and get rid of him. In fact, the script flipping gets a bit complicated it's all so intricate. Nevertheless, let's just say that our heroes are in for it this time!!
I also wanted to share the following interaction between Boss Carpo and the smuggler that is quintessential Han: Boss Carpo: "He's told me fourteen conflicting stories." Han - "Heyyy...I'm sure we can find one you like." I love that no matter what situation he's in, Han is always so good at being Han.

-Chewie and C-3PO:
Vader does his best to bring the rock beings under his control...but is he truly successful in achieving this feat?? See the image below for their apparent response to his mental persuasions. It's all quite ominous if you ask me.

-Luke and Warba:
As of last issue, Warba had run off with Luke's lightsaber and Luke was running after her to get it back. In this issue, just as he's running to catch Warba, we hear the Rebel Outpost on Sergia make a call to Luke by way of R2-D2 that an Imperial transport is headed right for them! As Luke so often does, he plays the hero and distracts the transport while telling the Rebels to evac. Will Luke get back his saber?? Will Warba help him save the day?? Or will the poor Jedi-in-training be left in the dust??

I am fascinated by all 3 story lines and love that they're now coalescing into one...just in time to introduce Hoth as the new Rebel base. Will Boss Carpo get what he wants?? Will the rock beings prevail?? Will Luke get Warba's help?? Definitely excited for the next issue!
