Journey to The Last Jedi: Stealth Mission Book and Model
Journey to The Last Jedi: Stealth Mission Book and Model by Katrina Pallant
Stealth Mission is a construction kit complete with both a reference-ish book and a T-70 X-wing model of papery Styrofoam. The book is a well-rounded look into both the story and spaceships of Force Awakens, complete with diagrams. It also details some new and interesting information about The Last Jedi. The model was fun to make, albeit a bit challenging at times with the Styrofoam's wanting to bend a little too easily. But I'm loving the final result! Now to figure out where to put it...
I definitely recommend this kit for the relaxing fun of building the cool model and for the plethora of new information contained in the book. I was quite pleased with this new canon installment.

Some things I learned:
- Apparently the New Republic has moved past the T-70s of the Resistance and is now on the T-85 X-wing model. And here I thought the T-70 was state-of-the-art technology. I guess Poe's X-wing is special because of its stealth paint job and not because of its model.
- One of BB-8's many tools is a liquid cable launcher...whatever that is.
- The confusing functionality of Starkiller Base is explained quite well. The weapon consumes energy from a star until that star is completely depleted and then can fire that energy, once converted into a weaponized beam, at planets half the galaxy away. It then moves on to another system where it consumes that star. So, since Starkiller Base attacked Hosnian Prime's system before the Resistance got to it, that means the star we saw it sucking energy from when the Resistance attacked was the second star it had depleted of energy. How the First Order managed to make a planet travel through space though is beyond me.
- There is actually a native species from Jakku - the Uthuthma. Now I'm really curious for a picture of these guys.
